We stopped off here to eat before going to the aquarium and it was just what we were looking for. The did was nice and the staff were friendly. They even or up with our little one "doing laps" around the restaurant! Good atmosphere for families.

I Ordered a vegan and gluten free pizza and they were delicious, the service was fast and friendly, we loved it! Thank you for catering for special diets. Wasnt too busy and salad bar was good..

Pizza Express

16 Barbican Approach, Plymouth PL4 0LG, UK – 01752 269900

Good food as with all Pizza Express's, quick service and very efficient despite being busy. Was easily in and out before going to the cinema.

Pizzas suitable for vegans varied in interest and rarely topped my score chart. But now they have added vegan mozzarella to their menu things have taken a step for the better in my opinion.

Bella Italia Plymouth Barbican

Barbican Leisure Park, Barbican Approach, Plymouth PL4 0LG, UK – 01752 225627

Great place to have a meal. Friendly staff. Drinks are expensive. Great food. You can get vouchers online for money off online for every day except Saturday but if you have cinema tickets for that day you can get 25% of main courses. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant particularly when busy. You can also have takeaways but you have to order in the restaurant. If you search online on their Web site you can usually find a 50% off takeaway food voucher which is then emailed to you.

This is part of the Bella Italia chain, and one of two located in Plymouth. When we visited for dinner early in the evening, it was already busy. The restaurant serves Italian food (there's a clue in the name) mainly pasta and Pizza. The food was generally of good quality, other than my dessert (Tiramisu) which was rather disappointing for over £6. Our visit coincided with some staff shortages, so we had to wait quite a long time to receive our meals and drinks at every course. However our waitress was very good and kept us informed, and along with all the staff, did the best she could under the circumstances. We received a discount for the wait, which was volunteered by the restaurant manager (I did not ask for one). This was a welcome gesture, and an excellent example of putting the customer first. Well done Bella Italia!!
